Chinese Rice Balls Recipe | Simple Recipes.

Chinese rice balls is yet another indo chinese snacks recipe which you can also make with leftover rice. Snacks and fast foods are favourite of one and all specially small kids love the most and have with joy. But outside snacks or fast foods are not much healthier than of homemade so its batter to make at home. Mainly these rice balls are prepared from cooked rice, some vegetables like cabbage, capsicum, carrots, onions, bread crums, all purpose flour slurry and some other spices.

In chinese foods sauce plays an important role in overall taste and here we have used soy sauce, red chilli sauce and vinegar. This is really very simple and easy to make leftover recipe plus requires very less time to cook is well. There are few things that you have to remember while making this quick chinese rice balls like add salt in very less quantity because chinese sauces already have salt in them, you can add less or ignore ajinomoto and serve these balls immediately after making.

Ingredients for Chinese Rice Balls:

1 Cup Cooked Rice.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Cabbage.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Capsicum.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Carrot.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Onion.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Garlic and Ginger.
3-4 tbsp All Purpose Flour.
Dry Bread Crums as per required.
½ Cup all Purpose Flour Slurry.
1 tsp Soya Sauce.
1 tsp Red Chilli Sauce.
1 tsp Green Chilli Sauce.
Pinch of Ajinomoto.
½ tsp Vinegar.
Salt According to taste.
Oil for deep frying.

How to Make Chinese Rice Balls:

Step 1.

First of all take a big mixing bowl, put cooked rice in it then add in finely chopped onion, carrot, capsicum, cabbage and mix all the things very well.

Step 2.

Now add in red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar, ajinomoto and salt, mix all the ingredients well then add in garlic and ginger, again mix it well and make small equal size of balls from the entire mixture.

Step 3.

Now put all purpose flour in a plate and spread evenly, now roll the rice balls on flour then dip in all purpose flour slurry, now roll the rice balls on dry bread crums.

Step 4.

Heat oil for deep frying, when oil get heated add in rice balls and fry them till become nice golden brown then take out in a serving plate and serve with sweet chilli sauce and enjoy.

Notes

You can make it with leftover rice also.
Be careful while adding salt because chinese sauces already have salt in them.
You can avoid ajinomoto, as it is a flavoring agent we added, add ajinomoto in very small quantity.
Serve the rice balls immediately after preparing.
