Churma Modak is a very delicious Indian sweet or dessert recipe, it is oftenly prepared for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival in India, it is one time taking dish to prepare but the taste of this easy Churma modak is really very amazing and outstanding. This dish is originally originated from the Marathi cuisine and very popular in entire Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and also in some other Indian states and cities. It is a bit heavy Indian sweet dish as it is made with lots of ghee or clarified butter but its really very good for kids and for whom who wants to increase weight. This mouthwatering sweet dish can be also prepared for some special occasions, parties and marriages.

All the required ingredients for this modak recipe are very simple and commonly available in at almost every grocery shops and supermarkets of the world. Ingredients for Churma Modak:

2 Cups Wheat Flour.
½ Cup Pure Ghee Melted.
4 tbsp Semolina.
¾ Cup Powdered Sugar.
¼ tsp Green Cardamom Powder.
10-12 Chopped Cashew Nuts.
10-12 Chopped Almonds.
10-12 Raisins.
Milk As Per Requirement.

How to Make Churma Modak:

Step 1.
In a big mixing bowl add wheat flour, semolina and ghee and mix it well.

Step 2.
Now add milk as per requirement and knead it into stiff dough and roll out twelve lemon size balls from it.

Step 3.
Heat sufficient amount of ghee, when it’s get heated deep fry the balls till changes its colour, drain the excess oil from it and take it out in a tissue paper and let it cool down.

Step 4.
Now grind the balls to a coarse mixture, add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds and raisins and mix it very well with ghee.

Step 5.
Finally give the shape of modak with modak mould and serve it.
