Crispy Veg Potli Recipe | Indian Snack | Kids Recipe.

Crispy veg potli is a very unique and delicious Indian vegetarian snacks recipe which is really very simple and easy to make plus requires very less time to cook is well. Mainly it is prepared from all purpose flour dough, some vegetables and some other spices. Potli is nothing but a parcel stuffed with different kinds of vegetables and spices, there are many variations in stuffing. Some people uses green peas, cheese and other ingredients.

You can prepare this quick crispy veg potli for your kids and I am sure they’ll goanna love this and have with joy. This vegetable potli looks quite similar to veg momos but different in taste and making is well. For making this potli first its stuffing is prepared then stuffed in all purpose flour dough and packed like potli and deep fried in oil.  You can serve this with tomato ketchup or jaggery tamarind chutney or any other chutney of your choice.

Ingredients for Crispy Veg Potli:

1 Cup All Purpose Flour Dough with added Salt.
2 tbsp Boiled and Chopped Potatoes.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Cabbage.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Carrot.
2 tbsp Finely Chopped Capsicum.
2 tbsp American Corn Kernels.
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste.
¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1-2 Drops of Red Food Colour.
Lemon Juice of ½ Lemon.
¼ tsp Garam Masala.
1 tsp Sugar.
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder.
1 tbsp Oil.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves.
Salt as per taste.
Oil for Frying.

How to Make Crispy Veg Potli:

Step 1.

First of all take out some dough about of making two small balls then add red food colour in rest of dough and mix well and keep aside, we will make thread from this red coloured dough later.

Step 2.

Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan then add in ginger garlic chilli paste and saute for little time, now add in chopped cabbage, capsicum, carrots, American corn kernels and boiled potatoes.

Step 3.

Now add in salt as per taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix all the spices and ingredients well then cover and cook it for 2 minutes at medium low flame.

Step 4.

After 2 minutes add in sugar, lemon juice and again cover and cook for 3-4 minutes at medium low flame.

Step 5.

After 3-4 minutes open the lead and add in garam masala again cover and cook for 1 minute, after 1 minute add in coriander leaves and turn the heat off and keep the stuffing aside to cool.

Step 6.

Now make small balls from the dough and take one ball and roll it little then put about 1 tsp of stuffing at the centre and bring all the edges of rolled ball to make potli.

Step 7.

Now take red coloured dough and make thin thread from it and tie at the top of potli , make all the potli ready this way.

Step 8.

Now heat oil in a kadai for deep frying the polis, when oil gets heated put 3-4 potlis once and fry till become nice golden brown then take out in a serving plate and serve with jaggery tamarind chutney and enjoy.
