Dal fry and Jeer rice is one of my favourite combo for the Lunch, Dinner and sometime for Brunch also. Most of the time when guest arrived at home or like to eat restaurant style food. I always cook Dalfry and we all love to have dal dishes with the Roti. If you are looking for protein rich recipe then nothing can be better then the dal fry and rice with whole wheat Chapattis or multi grain bread. You can also get Dal Fry Recipe in Hindi.

Dal fry is such an easy Indian dish which you can cook in very quick time even with just few ingredients and spices. In India people love Dal Bhaat, Dal Fry and Jeera Rice, Dal Tadka and Rice, Mix Dal and Rice, South Indian Style Dal and Rice as well as Gujarati Style. In the Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad you can get a rice meal in just 20-50 rupees. I really enjoyed my recent journeys to Mumbai and Hyderabad where I hade most delicious Dal and Rice Dishes on road side Dhabas and at street food carts. I have been traveling for the street food and tarvel tv india for the street food show most often. I love eating Indian street foods in the different cities.

100 gm 5 Mix Dal ( Pressure Cookered for 3 Vessels ).
1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
2 Hot Green Chilies.
1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
8-10 Curry Leaves.
Pinch of Mustard Seeds.
Pinch of Cumin Seeds.
1/2 tsp Garam Masala.
1 tsp Garlic and Ginger Paste.
1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder.
1/4th tsp of Asafoetida.
1/2 Turmeric Powder.
1/2 tsp Sugar.
Oil.
Salt to taste.

Ingredients

  • 100 gm 5 Mix Dal Pressure Cookered for 3 Vessels .
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
  • 2 Hot Green Chilies.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves.
  • Pinch of Mustard Seeds.
  • Pinch of Cumin Seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala.
  • 1 tsp Garlic and Ginger Paste.
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder.
  • 1/4 th tsp of Asafoetida.
  • 1/2 Turmeric Powder.
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar.
  • Oil.
  • Salt to taste.

Instructions

  • Heat around 2 tbsp of Oil, when it get's heated add Mustard seeds, when it starts Popping add Cumin Seeds, Pinch of Asafoetida ( Hing ), Curry Leaves and immediately put Onions.
  • Now add Green Chillies, Turmeric Powder, now in this add Red Chili Powder, Salt and Sugar, stir all the things very well.
  • Now in this add the Tomatoes, Garlic and Ginger Paste, add the Garam Masala, now add Dal.
  • after 1 minute it is almost ready so add Finely chopped Coriander Leaves and turn the heat off. Garnish it with simple Coriander Leaves.

 

Hello Friend’s Welcome to the World’s first Youtube cooking show from a Village, i am Nikunj Vasoya and today i am going to show you a very special and healthy Dal Fry Recipe which is very popular in India and everybody like to have this with Rice, Roti, Paratha or Nan, today i am going to make Dal Fry, Restaurant Style Dal Fry Recipe, it will be a very good Recipe and definately you will going to like this because i know some Secret which they are using in the Restaurants, so let’s take a look at Ingredients one by one.
Here i have 5 Boiled Dals, i have mixed all the dals which are very popular in India and they are making Dal Fry and Dal Tadka from it, all the Dals are very good in Protien, so it will be really very good Healthy Recipe, i have approximately 100 gm Dal, i have Pressure cooker it for 3 vessels, see the consistancy it should be Watery, liquidy and not thick, 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato, 2 Hot Green Chilies, 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion, 8-10 Curry Leaves, Pinch of Mustard Seeds, Pinch of Cumin Seeds, 1/2 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Garlic and Ginger Paste, 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder, 1/4th tsp of Asafoetida, 1/2 Turmeric Powder, 1/2 tsp Sugar, Oil and Salt to taste.
First a fall heat around 2 tbsp of Oil, but you can add Oil accourding to your taste, usally in North India they use Mustard Seeds Oil, but here i am using Ground Nut Oil because we Gujarati people love to use the Ground Nut Oil and it is really very good and Healthy, our Oil has get heated so in this add Mustard seeds, when it starts Popping add Cumin Seeds, Pinch of Asafoetida ( Hing ), Curry Leaves and immediately put Onions, now add Green Chillies, Turmeric Powder, now in this add Red Chili Powder, you can add accourding to your taste, but i am making it little spicy because we like spicy, add Salt and Sugar, stir all the things very well, now in this add the Tomatoes, Garlic and Ginger Paste, add the Garam Masala, now add Dal.
Look at the colour, it is looking so beautiful and i am sure it will going to give you same taste as you get in any Indian Restaurant, after 1 minute it is almost ready so add Finely chopped Coriander Leaves and turn the heat off, so this is it our very beautiful Restaurant Style Dal Fry is ready to serve.
