This is really very simple and easy to make khajur modak recipe plus requires very less time to cook is well. While making this quick dates modak you have to remember few things like choose good quality dates, while frying dry fruits heat should be very low else they’ll change colour or get burnt, and finally mix the dry fruits with dates well. Usually kids love the sweets and desserts more and more so giving them homemade sweets is a good thing than of buying from shops.

Ingredients for Dates Modak:

1 Cup Dates Without Seeds.
¼ Cup Chopped Mixed Dry Fruits.
1 tbsp Ghee.
1 tsp Khas Khas or Poppy Seeds.
¼ tsp Cardamom Powder.

How to Make Dates Modak:

Step 1.

First of all heat ghee in a pan then put chopped mix dry fruits and roast them till get crispy, make sure that they don’t change colour so roast on slow flame, take them out in a plate and keep aside.

Step 2.

Take seedless dates and grind them coarsely in a mixer blender, now transfer it to a plate and roasted nuts too, add in poppy seeds and cardamom powder.

Step 3.

Now mix them well with hands and grease the modak mould with ghee, now grease your hands with ghee so mixture will not stick to hands, fill the mixture in mould.

Step 4.

De-mould the modaks from mould and serve, If sometimes modak can’t de-mould easily then keep it in freeze to set for 15 minutes and then de-mould it and enjoy.
