                           Gathiya nu shaak is a perfect kathiyawadi curry recipe for Gujarati cuisine. It is very similar to sev tamatar curry which is also a very famous curry of Gujarati cuisine. This Gujarati curry is very much easy to make and required very few ingredients like gathiya, tomatoes and Indian spices. Ingredients for Gathiya nu Shaak:

100 Gram Gathiya.
3 tbsp Whipped Curd.
1 Finely Chopped Onion.
1 Finely Chopped Tomato.
3 tbsp Chopped Capsicum.
8-10 Cashew Nuts.
½ tsp Mustard Seeds.
½ tsp Cumin Seeds.
Pinch of Asafoetida.
1 tbsp Garlic Paste.
½ tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder.
1 tsp Hot Red Chilli Powder.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
Salt according taste.
3 tbsp Oil.
Some Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.

How to Make Gathiya nu Shaak:

Step 1.

First of all heat oil in a non stick pan, in little hot oil fry the cashew nuts till become light pink colour then take them out in a plate and keep aside.

Step 2.

Now in the same oil put cumin and mustard seeds, cook it little then add asafoetida along with onions and cook it till onion become light golden brown.

Step 3.

Now add garlic paste and saute it for few seconds then add tomato and let it cook till tomato become soft.

Step 4.

Now add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, hot red chilli powder, salt and 1 cup water and cook it for 2-3 minutes at medium heat.

Step 5.

Now add curd along with cashew nuts and capsicum, cook it for 1 minute, now add gathiya and again cook it for 1 minute.
Now turn the heat off and take out in a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves and cashew nuts.
