In most of the Indian curries mustard seeds and cumin seeds are used for tempering but in this easy Gawar ki Sabji carom seeds or akha ajwain is used for tempering. The flavors of ajwain goes good with this cluster beans and it increases the overall taste of this authentic Indian curry. Ingredients For Gawar ki Sabji:
250 Cluster Beans (Cut into small pieces and hard side remove).
1 tbsp Curd.
½ tsp Fennel Seeds Powder.
¼ tsp Carom Seeds.
¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
½ tsp Coriander Seeds Powder.
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
Pinch of Asafoetida.
Salt to taste.
Oil.

How To Cook Gawar ki Sabji:
Step 1.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker, when it gets little hot add carom seeds and saute it for little time.

Step 2.
Add asafoetida and wait for carom seeds to crackle, when it started crackling add turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, fennel seeds powder and red chilli powder.
Mix all the ingredients very well.

Step 3.
Now add cluster beans and saute it little then add salt according to taste and again mix it very well.

Step 4.
Now add around 1 tbsp of water and tighten the lid and let the steam build, when steam is full, lower the gas and don’t let the whistle blow.
Keep on the low flame for a minute and then turn off the gas. Wait till the steam escapes on its own, do not manually release it as the beans are still getting cooked in that steam.

Step 5.
Once there is no steam left (it takes about 5-10 minutes), open the cooker and mix it well, add curd and again mix it well.

Step 6.
Switch on the gas and saute it till excess water evaporates so the dish will be moist not wet, when you see the shine on beans turn the gas off.
So this is it delicious Gawar ki Sabji is ready to serve.
