Famous Indian food based on regions: –

Bengali food: –Bengali food use five spices for the preparation of food that are fenugreek seeds, cumin, black cumin seeds, mustard, and aniseed. Sweet and spicy flavors are the specialties of Bengali food. Bengali sweets dishes are very famous.

Maharashtrian food: – A great variety is available in Maharashtrian food. Every region of Maharashtra is known for different spicy food. The spices used for the preparation of the food are red chili powder, cardamom, cumin, turmeric, cloves etc. It offers spicy, sweet and hot dishes.

The main cereals used are rice, wheat, maize etc. Batata Wada, modak, pav bhaji and shrikhand are the famous dishes.
