Kachhe Aam ke Chawal | Indian Rice Dish.

Kachhe Aam ke chawal is delicious Indian rice dish, it tastes little sweet and sour, you can also make it spicy if you like by adding more red chilli powder in it. You can have this yummy kachhe aam ke chawal in your lunch or dinner. Usually people cooks tamarind rice from leftover rice but this recipe is considerably more tasty than the tamarind rice recipe.

We have mangoes only in summer season so we can also call this Indian rice dish as a seasonal recipe or seasonal dish. It is very easy to make as well as requires very few simple ingredients which are commonly available in almost every kitchen of world.

In India most of the peoples likes to eat the recipes made from rice like Pulao’s and biryani’s but one you try this easy kachhe aam ke chawal then I am sure you will cook this regularly.

Ingredients For Kachhe Aam ke Chawal:
1 Cup Rice (Leftover one day).
2 Raw Mango (make paste of it by adding 2 tsp water in it and bend it).
3 tsp Peanuts.
1 tsp Sugar.
10-12 Curry Leaves.
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
1 Dry Red Chilli Chopped.
¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
¼ tsp Bengal Gram Lentil.
¼ tsp Black Gram Lentil.
¼ tsp Rai Dana or Mustard Seeds.
1 tsp Desi Ghee or Clarified Butter.
Pinch of Asafoetida.
1 Tbsp Oil.
Salt to Taste.

How to Cook Kachhe Aam ke Chawal:

Step 1.
Heat oil in a pan, when it gets heated (make sure that oil should not be very hot) add peanuts and fry it little.
Take it out in a plate.

Step 2.
In the same oil add bengal gram lentil and cook it little, now add black gram lentil and cook it little.

Step 3.
Now add mustard seeds and dry red chilli and stir it well.
Now add Asafoetida, curry leaves and turmeric powder and stir all the things very well.

Step 4.
Now add raw mango paste and cook it little, add red chilli powder and salt to taste, stir it well and cover it and cook it little.
Add clarified butter (it gives good aroma).

Step 5.
Now add rice and mix all the ingredients very well, melt sugar in water and add it to the rice and cook it for further few minutes.

Step 6.
Now the delicious kachhe aam ke chawal is ready add some peanut in it and serve it.
Garnish it with some Peanuts.
