Kachori is a deep fried, crispy and delicious Indian snacks recipe which is really very easy to make as well as requires very less time to cook is well. Mainly it is prepared from raw tuvar or green peas, all purpose flour dough and some other spices. Filling for this kachori recipe varies from place to place some of the people add potatoes, lentils, onions etc. In winter season it is one best warm breakfast or mid day brunch or evening snack is well.

All the required ingredients to make this easy kachori are very simple and commonly available in grocery shops and markets. This kachoris are very similar to samosa but different in fillings and shape, before samosa came this kachori was been loved by everyone. In north India side specially in delhi this kachoris are very popular as a street food item and available exclusively at street food shops and carts.

Probably this yummy tummy and mouth clicking kachoris are originated from rajasthan or uttar Pradesh and are liked by people in most of the Indian cities. The way of making and ingredients plus the serving varies from city to city in India but every kachori have its own special taste. Along with this you may also like ragda patties, spicy potato chaat, jhaal muri etc……..

Ingredients for Kachori:

200 gm Raw Tuvar Dal or Green Peas.
1 Cup All Purpose Flour Dough.
1 tsp Fennel Seeds.
2 tbsp Ginger Chilli Paste.
50 gm Fresh Grated Coconut.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Garam Masala.
1 tbsp Lemon Juice.
2 tbsp Sugar.
2 tbsp Oil.
Salt according to taste.
Oil for deep frying.

How to Make Kachori:

Step 1.

First of all coarsely crush the tuvar dal in a mixture jar, now heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadai, when oil gets heated add in fennel seeds and let it crackle, when fennel seeds starts crackling add in crushed tuvar dal.

Step 2.

Now add in little salt and about 2-3 tbsp water, cover and cook it on lower flame for 2 minutes, after 2 minutes again add 2 tbsp water, cover and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 3.

After 2 minutes check if it is not cooked then add 2 tbsp more water and cook for more 2 minutes, if cooked then add sugar, lemon juice, ginger chilli paste, stir well and cover and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4.

After 2 minutes open the lead and add grated coconut, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and mix all the things well, now increase the flame and cook it till you get the consistency to make balls from mixtre.

Step 5.

Now turn the heat off and let the mixture cool for few minutes then make small equal sizes of balls from mixture and keep aside.

Step 6.

Now make small balls from all purpose flour dough, take one ball and roll it like chapatti, put the cooked mixture ball at centre and fold from every side and give the shape of kachori, make all the kachoris ready this way.

Step 7.

Now heat oil in a kadai, when oil gets heated put kachoris in oil and fry till become light golden brown then take out in serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup or jaggery tamarind chutney and enjoy.
