Khichdi one of the favorite dish of mine, as being a Gujarati we prefer khichdi in our dinner as it is very light food, delicious in taste and also very easy to make, The word khichdi is oriented from Gujarat, Khichdi is a very common dish made from rice and lentils, its famous across India and hundreds of variations of this dish is prepared in all parts of India, Gujarati khichdi is considered to be a comfort food, easy to digest and nutrition.

Ingredients For Khichadi Recipe:
50 gm Rice.
50 gm Split Moong Dal.
½ tsp Asafoetida.
2 Glass Water.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
Salt to Taste.
How to Cook Khichadi:
Step 1.
First of all in a pressure cooker heat 2 glass of water with turmeric powder and salt (according to taste).

Step 2.

When water started bubbling add rice and split moong dal in it and cover it and cook it for three vessels.

Step 3.
After cooking it for few minutes or three vessels turn the heat off and let it cook on its steam inside the pressure cooker for little time.

Step 4.
Add asafoetida in it and serve it hot with choice of your curry or Gujarati curry whatever you like.
