Ingredients for Mexican Khichu:

2-3 tbsp Cooked American Corn Kernels.
1 Cup Corn Flour.
1 Cube of Cheese.
3 Cup Water.
1 tbsp Green Chilli Paste.
¼ tsp Cooking Soda.
½ tsp Mix Herbs.
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder.
Salt as per taste.
Groundnut Oil for Garnishing.
Cheese for Garnishing.
Some Cooked American Corn Kernels for Garnishing.

How to Make Mexican Khichu:

Step 1.

First of all heat water in pan, when water starts boiling put green chilli paste and mix herbs then add in salt, corn kernels, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and let them boil for little time.

Step 2.

When water stats boiling and all the ingredients get boiled lower the heat and add in cooking soda and increase the flame of gas and cover and cook for 1 minute.

Step 3.

Now add in corn flour and mix well with rolling pin or spoon then grate the cheese cube and put in boiling mixture and cook the khichu for 2-3 minutes at medium flame.

Step 4.

After 2-3 minutes turn the heat off, now take a bowl and first put some cooked kernels the put the cooked khichu and press gently then un-mould the Mexican khichu in a serving plate.

Step 5.

Now garnish it with some cooked corn kernels, mix herbs, groundnut oil and finally give it nice impression of red chilli powder using folk spoon and serve.
