                      It can be also prepared for get together or any other parties or special occasions and the good thing about this dish is that all the ingredients used in this dish are very simple and available in every kitchen. Ingredients for Moong Dal Fry:

1 ¼ Cup Yellow Moong Dal.
1 Big Finely Chopped Onion.
1 Medium Finely Chopped Tomato.
2 Slit Red Ripe Chillies.
2 Round Dried Red Chillies.
1 tsp Crushed Ginger-Garlic-Chilli Paste.
1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Coriander Powder.
½ tsp Mustard Seeds.
½ tbsp Lemon Juice.
3 tsp Oil or Butter.
Salt to taste.
Coriander Leaves and Kasuri Methi for Garnishing.

How to Make Moong Dal Fry:

Step 1.

First of all pressure cooker moong dal for 2-3 whistles until it completely cooked then mash it and make creamy and keep aside.

Step 2.

Now heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, slit red chillies, round red chillies, garlic ginger chilli paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3.

Now add chopped onions and saute till it gets transparent then add tomatoes and saute till get cooked keep stir in between.

Step 4.

Now add cooked moong dal and mix well, add salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder, mix well.
Now add 1 cup of water, mix well and cook on medium flame until dal get thick, now add coriander leaves and simmer for 3 minutes.

Step 5.

Now remove from flame add Kasuri methi, lemon juice and mix well, serve the delicious hot moong dal fry with roti or steamed rice and enjoy.
