Rajgira Puri Recipe for Fast.

Hello friends, here is another vrat, phalahar recipes of puri which is made from rajgira or amaranth flour. In Gujarat, it is well known as rajgira puri, we consider to call farali puri because the name defines fal (fruit) +ahaar (snack). Rajgira is one the most using flour for fast during Indian festive like navratri, Ganesh chaturthi and janmashtmi.

It is mainly made from the dough of rajgira flour, mashed potatoes, water and ghee and rolled out in puris. You can make it parathas or rotis from this dough. You can take these puris with any phalahari curry or chutney. It will also well goes for a snack. People, who keep navratri fasting or vrat, it is a perfect fast meal for them and it also keeps whole day energize.

Ingredients for Rajgira Puri Recipe for Fast:

1 Cup Rajgira Flour.
2 tbsp Ghee.
1 Big Boiled and Mashed Potato.
2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves.
Halite or Sendha Namak to Taste.
Red Chilli Powder as Per Taste.
Oil for Deep Frying.

How to Make Rajgira Puri Recipe for Fast:

Step 1.

First of all in a big mixing bowl add rajgira flour, ghee, boiled and mashed potato, red chilli powder, salt, coriander leaves and mix all the ingredients well.

Step 2.

Knead it well and make smooth dough from it, now make small balls from the dough and roll them out in round shape, it should be thick not much thin.

Step 3.

In a deep bottom kadai heat oil at medium high flame for deep frying puris, when oil gets hot enough, fry the puris till become golden brown.
Once done take out the puris in tissue paper so the excess oil get soaked, serve the delicious rajgira puris with aloo ki Sabji or shrikhand and enjoy.
