Rasiya dhokla or rasiya muthiya is a very delicious and healthy gujarati snacks recipe from gujarati cuisine. Mainly it is prepared from cooked rice, wheat flour, gram flour, butter milk and some other spices. Instead of fresh cooked rice you can also use leftover rice also. For making this gujarati bhat na muthiya first dhokla or muthiya is prepared then after added to a thin butter milk gravy and cooked so it’s a two different recipes in a single post.

You can prepare this healthy and delicious Indian snack recipe for your lunch and sometimes for dinner as it is a light food dish so it will not overload to your stomach.

This bhaat na rasawala muthiya recipe is one of the best to make from leftover rice. We oftenly make this whenever we have last night rice are left instead of throwing them. Ingredients for Rasiya Dhokla:

For Dhokla:

1 Cup Cooked Rice or Leftover Rice.
3 tbsp Coarsely Grinded Wheat Flour.
2 tbsp Gram Flour.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1 tbsp Garlic Chilli Paste.
1 tsp Achar Masala or Pickle Masala.
1 tbsp Sugar.
2 Pinch of Cooking Soda.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves.
1 tbsp Oil.
Salt according to taste.

For Gravy:

1 Cup Butter Milk.
1 Cup Water.
1 tbsp Garlic Chilli Paste.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ Red Chilli Powder.
1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
2 tbsp Oil.
Salt according to taste.
1 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves.

How to Make Rasiya Dhokla:

Step 1.

First of all take cooked rice in bowl then add in wheat flour, gram flour, garlic chilli paste, turmeric powder, salt, pickle masala, red chilli powder, sugar, cooking soda, coriander leaves and oil.

Step 2.

Now mix all the spices and ingredients well and make nice dough from it, if there is difficulty in making dough then add 1-2 tbsp water, make sure that consistency of dough should be like that you can make dhokla from it.
After making dough make small size of dhokla from entire dough and keep aside.

Step 3.

Now heat oil in a non stick pan, when oil gets hot add in cumin seeds and let them slather then add in garlic chilli paste and saute it for little time.

Step 4.

Now add in turmeric powder, red chilli powder, 1 cup water and dhokla, cover and cook gravy for 5-6 minutes, after 5-6 minutes size of the dhokla will increase, add in butter milk and again cover and cook it for 3-4 minutes at medium flame.

Step 5.

After 3-4 minutes open the lead and add in freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve the delicious rasiya dhokla.

Notes

While adding salt be careful because achar or pickle masala already have salt in it.
