Sooji ka sheera is a very delicious Indian sweet or dessert dish that can be prepared in just quick time. This yummy and healthy sheera is really very simple and easy to make plus requires very less time to cook is well. Mainly it is prepared from semolina, milk, sugar and some spices. Sooji ka sheera is also known as rava sheera in north India side and rava kesari in south India side. Rava and sheera are prepared at the time of pooja in India.

This quick sooji ka sheera can be prepared for festivals like diwali, ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri etc or at the time of any auspicious occasions or pooja at your home. As it is very simple and cooked in no time so you can also make it any time you want eat some sweet or dessert is well. While making this semolina sheera you have to make sure that you are adding sugar, semolina, water and ghee in a proper proportion then only you will have a good taste.

You can add ghee and sugar more or less as per your taste and requirement, saffron threads and cardamom powder are added to give this sheera a good flavor. Ingredients for Sooji ka Sheera:

½ Cup Semolina.
½ Cup Powdered Sugar.
1 Cup Milk.
¾ Cup Water.
6-7 Threads of Saffron.
¼ tsp Cardamom Powder.
1 tsp Almond Powder.
Some Raisins.
2 tbsp Ghee or Clarified Butter.
6-7 Chopped Almonds for Garnishing.

How to Make Sooji ka Sheera:

Step 1.

First of all add water and milk in a pan and put on gas, on another gas heat ghee then add semolina in ghee and roast it little.

Step 2.

Now add almond powder and saffron threads in it, when water and milk starts boiling turn the heat off, when semolina becomes light golden brown add boiled water and milk along with sugar in it.

Step 3.

Mix it well then add raisins and cardamom powder, mix well and cook it at medium flame till milk get reduced.
Now turn the heat off and take out the sheera in a serving plate and garnish with chopped almonds and enjoy.
