Spinach Sev Recipe | Palak Sev Recipe | Indian Snacks Recipe.

Spinach sev is a very popular Indian snacks recipe cooked oftenly in Indian households. Mainly this is crunchy and mouth clicking jar snack is prepared from spinach, gram flour, green chillies and some other spices. This is really very simple and easy to make plus requires very less time to cook is well. Usually kids love this kind of crunchy snacks and have with joy so rather than buying from outside its batter to make at home.

All the required ingredients to make this quick spinach sev are very simple and commonly available in grocery shops and markets. For making this palak sev first spinach and green chillies are blended then oil is added and whipped with hand blender. Afterwards all the spices and ingredients are added to this paste and mixed, finally gram flour is added and soft dough is kneaded. This dough filled in a sev mould and in hot oil sev are deep fried.

In India there are many different varieties are available of sev and all are exclusively available at grocery shops, farsan shops and sweet shops. Ingredients for Spinach Sev:

50 gm Spinach.
150 gm Gram Flour or Besan.
3 Green Chillies.
1/8 tsp Rock Salt or Halite.
¼ tsp Chaat Masala.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
Salt as per taste.
3 tbsp Oil.
Oil for Frying.

How to Make Spinach Sev:

Step 1.

First of all put spinach, green chillies and about 2-3 tbsp water in a mixer jar and blend it to make coarse mixture and take out the paste in a bowl.

Step 2.

Now add in oil and with the help of hand blender mix the paste well then add in salt, rock salt or halite, chaat masala, red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 3.

Now add in gram flour in paste and knead dough from it, make sure that consistency of dough should be like as you can make sev from it.

Step 4.

Now take a mould and put thin hole net in mould and fill it with gram flour and spinach dough, heat oil in a kadai then make sev in hot oil and fry sev till become cook nicely from both sides.

Step 5.

Now take out spinach sev in a plate and let it cool for few minutes then put the sev in an air tight container and enjoy.
