Spring Onion and Besan Curry Recipe.

Spring onion and besan curry is an amazing curry recipe made from besan and green onion. It is a traditional dish comes from Maharashtra. This spring onion and besan curry is also known as a spring onion zunka or kanda zunka. Not only in Maharashtra, it is a very popular Marathi dish across world.

Most commonly used ingredients in these recipes are roasted besan, onion, water, salt and some other Indian spicy. It is very easy recipe to make and needs very less time to prepare. You can prepare this super delicious dish to please your guests, friends or family members. You can make it thick or thin, as you your consistency required.

With this onion zunka, you can serve roti, rice or any main course dish. You can also add some green chilies to give it a spicy kick but you can skip, if you are making for your child or adults. Ingredients for Spring Onion and Besan Curry:

½ Cup Roasted Gram Flour.
1 Big Chopped Onion.
2 Cups Chopped Spring Onions.
1 tsp Mustard Seeds.
3 Garlic Cloves.
1 tsp Turmeric Powder.
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
1 tbsp Oil.
Salt to Taste.

How to Make Spring Onion and Besan Curry:

Step 1.

First of all heat oil in a kadai, when it gets heated add mustard seeds, when they started splutter add crushed garlic, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix it quickly.

Step 2.

Now add onions and saute till onions are well cooked then add salt and spring onion greens and saute it well.

Step 3.

Now sprinkle little water around 2 tbsp and stir again well, when veggies cooked through stir in roasted gram flour slowly and mix well.

Step 4.

If the dish becomes too dry again sprinkle little water, on low heat cover and cook for 2 minutes then turn off the heat and let it sit with the lid on for 5 minutes more.
Serve the delicious Maharashtrian curry with Roti or Bhakri or any other breads of your choice.
