Tadka Curd Rice Recipe | South Indian Cuisine.

Tadka curd rice is a one pot curd or yogurt flavored south Indian rice recipe which is very popular in south Indian cities and villages. It’s a very simple and easy to make Indian rice recipe plus you can make it in just quick time. Now summer is started and during summer our body temperature tends to increase and it is best to have curd based foods weather it’s a riata or butter milk or any other curd dishes.

This quick tadka curd rice recipe is not just the delicious one but really very healthy and nutritious and good for our health. As curd or yogurt helps in digestion, lowers the body temperature and makes the body cool. Mainly this curd rice is prepared from cooked rice, sour curd and some spices. And all the required ingredients to make this healthy rice dish are very simple and commonly available in almost every kitchens of the world.

Cooking level of this easy tadka curd rice is very easy and everyone can make it at home without any difficulties. In south Indian houses it is oftenly prepared for lunch, dinner and sometimes for breakfast also. Along with this you may also like some other south Indian recipes like dahi tadka with stuff brinjal, instant rava appam, masala idiyappam and much more.

Ingredients for Tadka Curd Rice:

For Curd Rice:

1 Cup Cooked Rice.
250 gm Whipped Medium Sour Curd.
Salt according to taste.
2 Cup Water.

For Tadka:

2 tsp Oil.
1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
1 tbsp Ginger Chilli Paste.
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
Pinch of Salt.

How to Make Tadka Rice Curd:

Step 1.

First of all heat 2 cups of water along with curd in a pan, now add in cooked rice and salt as per your taste and cook it at medium low flame for 10-15 minutes, stir in between so rice can be liquidly.

Step 2.

 After 10-15 minutes check rice if it is cooked then turn the heat off and take out in a plate.

Step 3.

Now for preparing tadka first of all heat oil in a tadka pan then add in cumin seeds, when cumin seeds starts crackling add in ginger chilli paste and saute it for little time.

Step 4.

Now add in turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and immediately turn the heat off and mix it well, put this tadka at the centre of curd rice.
Finally garnish the tadka curd rice with red chilli powder and coriander leaves and serve hot.
