  • 250 gm Parwal or Pointed Gourd.
  • 100 gm Potatoes.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste.
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder.
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  • 3 tbsp Oil.
  • Salt as per taste.
  • Some Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.
  • Oil for Frying Potatoes and Parwal.


  • First of all peel potatoes and cut them in long strips then make 4-6 cuts on parwal from top, make sure that don’t cut them just make cuts.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai then fry potatoes and parwal in hot oil for few minutes then take out in plate and keep aside.
  • Now heat oil in kadai then put cumin seeds and let it crackle, now add in onions and cook till become light golden brown.
  • Now add in ginger garlic paste and saute for little time then add in tomatoes and cook it till tomatoes become soft.
  • Now add in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt and mix all the spices well and saute for little time then add in water as per required.
  • Now add in fried potatoes and parwal and cook the gravy till become thick on medium flame, when gravy becomes thick add in garam masala and cover and cook for 1 minute.
  • After 1 minute turn the heat off and take out the delicious potato and parwal curry in a serving plate and garnish with some fresh coriander leaves and serve.
