Gujarati Masala Powder Recipe | Dry Spices

Quick and Easy Gujarati Masala Powder.

  • 1 tbsp Split Bengal Gram or Chana Dal.
  • 1 tbsp Split Black Gram or Urad Dal.
  • 2 Inch Cinnamon Stick.
  • 7-8 Green Cardamoms.
  • 1 tbsp White Sesame Seeds.
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds.
  • 1 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds.
  • 7-8 Dry Red Chillies.
  • 2 tbsp Dry Crushed Coconut.
  • ½ tbsp Oil.


  • First heat a pan then fry coconut till become golden brown and keep aside.
  • Now roast sesame seeds well till get splutter then put oil in pan and roast remaining masala one by one.
  • Keep the masalas aside to cool then grind all the masalas to fine powder, store in a dry container, this masala is used in Bangalore style curries.
