Sabudana Vada Recipe | Indian Street Food

Quick and Easy Sabudana Vada Recipe.

  • 100 gm Sago or Sabudana.
  • 2 Medium Size Boiled Potatoes.
  • 2 tbsp Dry Bread Crums or Corn Flour.
  • 2 tbsp Coarsely Chopped Peanuts.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Chilli Paste.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  • Salt according to taste.
  • Lemon Juice of Half Lemon.
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves.
  • Oil for Deep Frying.
  • Tomato Ketchup for Serving.


  • First of all soak sabudana in water for 2-3 hours then drain the water and take out sabudana in a clean cloth so it can be dry.
  • Now put the dry sabudana in bowl then smash the boiled potatoes and put in bowl, now add in ginger chilli paste, peanuts, cumin seeds, salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves and dry bread crums or corn flour.
  • Now mix all the spices and ingredients well then make small equal sizes of tikkis or vada from entire mixture, you can also make small balls from mixture, you can give any shape as you like.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai, when oil gets hot put vadas in and first fry on high flame then after some time lower the flame and fry till become nice golden brown then take out in a serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup.
