Dahi Bhindi Recipe | Ladyfinger in Curd | Low Fat Indian Curry

  • 100 gm Chopped in 1 Inch fried Ladyfinger.
  • 50 gm Curd or Yogurt.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste.
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder.
  • 1 tsp Gram Flour.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala.
  • Salt according to taste.
  • 2 tbsp Oil.


  • First of all heat oil in a nonstick kadai, when oil gets heated add in cumin seeds and let them slather, now add in onions and saute till become light golden brown then add in ginger garlic chilli paste and saute for little time.
  • Now add in tomatoes and lower the flame and cook tomatoes for 1 minute, after 1 minute add in turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and cook all the spices for couple of minutes.
  • Now add in gram flour and lower the heat and saute it for little time, when rawness of gram flour removes add in water as per required and fried ladyfinger and mix the gravy well.
  • Now cover and cook gravy for 2-3 minutes or till spices get mixed with ladyfinger at medium flame, after 2-3 minutes add in curd and garam masala again cover and cook for 1 minute.
  • After 1 minute turn the heat off and take out the delicious dahi bhindi curry in a serving plate and serve hot with roti, paratha, kulcha or naan and enjoy.
