Quick and Easy Gujarati Kadhi Recipe.

  • 200 gm Curd or Yogurt.
  • 1 tbsp Gram Flour.
  • 1-2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste.
  • 2-3 tbsp Ghee.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  • 1 Dry Red Chilli.
  • 3-4 Cloves.
  • ½ tsp Coriander Seeds.
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds.
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida.
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon Powder.
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves.
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves.
  • 1-2 tbsp Sugar.
  • Salt According to Taste.
  • ½ tsp Kadhi Masala.


  • First of all add gram flour and curd in a mixer jar and blend it nicely, now add water as per required in mixture then add in ginger garlic chilli paste, cinnamon powder, kadhi masala and mix well, keep the mixture aside for 5-6 minutes.
  • Now heat ghee in kadai, when ghee gets heated then add cloves and let the cloves crackle, now add in coriander seeds, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chilli and let all the spices crackle.
  • Now add in curry leaves and curd mixture and mix well then add in sugar, salt as per taste and cook it till it starts boiling, when mixture get cooked turn the heat off and take out in serving plate.
  • Finally add in coriander leaves and serve the delicious hot kadhi with khichadi, pulao, rice or kashmiri pulao and enjoy.
