Puran Poli Recipe | Sweet Indian Flatbread

  • 1 Cup Binded Wheat Flour.
  • 1 Cup Cooked Split Bengal Gram or Chana Dal.
  • ½ Cup Jaggery.
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder.
  • Pure Ghee as per required.


  • First of all take cooked chana dal in a non stick pan, then turn the gas on and add jaggery in it, cook chana dal and jaggery till both get mixed nicely then add 1 tsp ghee.
  • When mixture leaves the pan that means the mixture is ready, now add cardamom powder and mix well, turn the heat off and let the stuffing mixture cool for few minutes.
  • Now take binded wheat flour and make small equal sizes of balls from it, take one ball and roll it like a puri then put little stuffing mixture at centre and fold from every side.
  • Now again roll it like a puri, make all the puran poli similarly, now heat a tawa or griddle and put one puran poli on it, now lower the heat and cook puran poli one side then turn the side.
  • Now apply ghee on it and cook both side nicely then take out in a serving plate and serve hot, make all the puran poli ready this way.
  • You can also apply ghee after cooking both sides or while cooking it depends on you.
