Besan Poori Recipe

Quick and Easy Besan Poori Recipe.

  • 3 Cup Binded Whole Wheat Flour Dough.
  • 2 Cup Gram Flour.
  • ½ tsp Coriander Powder.
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds Powder.
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • Salt to Taste.
  • Pinch of Asafoetida.
  • Oil.


  • Switch on the gas put all the gram flour in a kadai then add coriander powder, fennel seeds powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and asafoetida.
  • Dry roast all the ingredients at a medium low heat for 2 minutes, after two minutes turn the heat off add salt and mix it well. Take out the mixture in a plate and let it cool down.
  • Now in a big plate put the gram flour mixture, add 2 tbsp oil and mix it well, add little more oil if required, add water as per required and make nice dough from it.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, make small balls from plain flour dough, roll it little with hand, put little gram flour dough at the centre, fold it and roll it like a poori. Make all the pooris similarly.
  • Put the poori in oil for deep frying (Make sure that oil should be hot), fry it till it become light golden brown, take it out in a serving plate.
  • You can have this delicious pooris with any curry of your choice.
