Tadka Curd Rice Recipe | South Indian Cuisine

Quick and Easy Tadka Curd Recipe.

  • For Curd Rice:
  • 1 Cup Cooked Rice.
  • 250 gm Whipped Medium Sour Curd.
  • Salt according to taste.
  • 2 Cup Water.
  • For Tadka:
  • 2 tsp Oil.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Chilli Paste.
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • Pinch of Salt.


  • First of all heat 2 cups of water along with curd in a pan, now add in cooked rice and salt as per your taste and cook it at medium low flame for 10-15 minutes, stir in between so rice can be liquidly.
  • After 10-15 minutes check rice if it is cooked then turn the heat off and take out in a plate.
  • Now for preparing tadka first of all heat oil in a tadka pan then add in cumin seeds, when cumin seeds starts crackling add in ginger chilli paste and saute it for little time.
  • Now add in turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and immediately turn the heat off and mix it well, put this tadka at the centre of curd rice.
  • Finally garnish the tadka curd rice with red chilli powder and coriander leaves and serve hot.
