  • 2 Potatoes.
  • 50 Gram Jaggery.
  • 1 Inch Chopped Ginger.
  • 7-8 Cloves of Garlic.
  • 1 tsp Coriander and Cumin Seeds Powder.
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds.
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • ½ tsp Asafoetida.
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala.
  • Lemon Juice of 1 Lemon.
  • Salt according to taste.
  • 3 tbsp Oil.
  • Oil for Deep Frying.


  • First of all wash, peel and cut potatoes in French fries shape, heat oil in a pan, when oil gets heated fry the potatoes till become soft, make sure that potatoes should be soft not crispy then take out in a plate and keep aside.
  • Now take a mixture jar put in ginger, cloves, asafoetida, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander and cumin seeds powder, fennel seeds and 3 tbsp water, grind all the spices well then take out the mixture in a bowl.
  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in pan, when its get heated add the spices mixture in it roast it for few minutes, when mixture become dry and releases oil then add 1 ½ cup water along with lemon juice and jaggery.
  • Now cook this curry at medium low heat till it become thick, when half of the water gets evaporated and curry become thick turn the heat off and take out in a serving plate and enjoy with roti, paratha or jeera rice.
