  • 250 gm Puffed Rice.
  • 1 Chopped Onion.
  • 1 Chopped Tomato.
  • ½ Chopped Cucumber.
  • 2 tbsp Roasted Peanuts.
  • ¼ Cup Salted Chana Dal.
  • 2 tbsp Grated Coconut.
  • ½ Cup Besan Sev.
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves.
  • 2-3 Chopped Green Chillies.
  • Black Salt according to taste.
  • 2 tsp Muri Masala.
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice.
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Oil.
  • Jaggery Tamarind Chutney.
  • Ingredients for Muri Masala:
  • 2 tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds.
  • 1 tsp Black Salt.
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper Powder.
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala.
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala.


  • First of all in a mixer blender jar put cumin seeds, black salt, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and chaat masala, blend it to make muri masala.
  • Now take a deep pan put onion, tomato, cucumber, coriander leaves, green chillies, black salt, salty chana dal and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now add red chilli powder, peanuts, grated coconut and besan sev and mix well then add puffed rice, jaggery tamarind chutney, mustard oil, muri masala, lemon juice and again mix all the things very well.
  • Finally garnish the jhaal muri with some coriander leaves, grated coconut and peanuts and serve.
