First of all in a pan heat milk, at the same time add bay leaf, black pepper and clove and bring it to boil then keep it aside.
In a non stick pan melt butter on low flame, add maida and saute till it changes colour slightly and will get good aroma.
Now add ½ cup of room temperature milk and stir continuously with a whisk so you will not get lumps.
After sometime when it starts thickening add remaining milk, gradually stir it continuously with the whisk.
Cook it till it starts boiling then reduce the flame add grated cheese, salt, pepper powder and herbs to taste.
Now cook it for 3-4 minutes then remove from the flame.
Make sure the sauce consistency will not much thick or much watery because after it come on room temperature sauce will thicken, enjoy with pasta or sandwiches.
