Bhindi ki Sabji | Ladyfinger Subzi | Okra Stir Fry

Bhindi ki subzi is very delicious Indian vegetarian curry recipe.

  • 500 gm Chopped Ladyfinger.
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds Powder.
  • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder.
  • Little less than ½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • Little less than ½ tsp Carom Seeds.
  • ½ tsp Dry Mango Powder Amchur.
  • ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
  • Pinch of Asafoetida.
  • Salt to Taste.
  • Oil.


  • Heat 1 and ½ tbsp of oil, when oil gets lightly hot add carom seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, fennel seeds powder, red chilli powder and mix all the ingredients very well.
  • Now add ladyfinger and again mix it very well and cook it for little time on high heat, if you like green chilli than you can add now.
  • Now add salt and mix it well and lower the heat, now cover it and cook it for 4-5 minutes at a medium low heat.
  • After 4-5 minutes give it a nice mix and again cover it and cook it for 3 minutes at a lower heat.
  • Now add dry mango powder and mix it well cover again and keep mixing after every 3-4 minutes and cover till ladyfinger are completely cooked.
  • So that’s it take it out in a serving plate and serve it hot.
