Lemon Rice Recipe is one of the yummy Indian rice dish which you can make in just few minutes.

  • 4 Cup Boiled Rice.
  • 25 gm Peanuts.
  • Few Curry Leaves.
  • 3 Whole Red Chillies Seedless and broken in Pieces.
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
  • 4 tsp Lemon Juice.
  • 1 tsp Split Bengal Gram.
  • 1 tsp Skinless Split Black Gram.
  • ¾ tsp Mustard Seeds.
  • Pinch of Asafoetida.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp Oil.


  • Heat oil in a pan, when it gets heated add mustard seeds and split Bengal gram and saute it for couple of minutes or until it become golden brown.
  • Now add whole red chilli, asafoetida, turmeric powder and curry leaves and mix all the things very well.
  • Add rice and mix it gently so rice don’t break, now add salt and mix it till all the spices cover all the rice grains evenly.
  • Once the rice are light yellow in colour add peanuts and mix it very well.
  • Now add lemon juice in and again mix it well.
  • Turn the heat off (don’t cook rice after adding lemon juice in it) and serve it hot.
