  • 100 gm 5 Mix Dal Pressure Cookered for 3 Vessels .
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
  • 2 Hot Green Chilies.
  • 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves.
  • Pinch of Mustard Seeds.
  • Pinch of Cumin Seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala.
  • 1 tsp Garlic and Ginger Paste.
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder.
  • 1/4 th tsp of Asafoetida.
  • 1/2 Turmeric Powder.
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar.
  • Oil.
  • Salt to taste.


  • Heat around 2 tbsp of Oil, when it get's heated add Mustard seeds, when it starts Popping add Cumin Seeds, Pinch of Asafoetida ( Hing ), Curry Leaves and immediately put Onions.
  • Now add Green Chillies, Turmeric Powder, now in this add Red Chili Powder, Salt and Sugar, stir all the things very well.
  • Now in this add the Tomatoes, Garlic and Ginger Paste, add the Garam Masala, now add Dal.
  • after 1 minute it is almost ready so add Finely chopped Coriander Leaves and turn the heat off. Garnish it with simple Coriander Leaves.
